The Gleneden Sanitary District operates on a fiscal year basis beginning July 1st and ending June 30th. Following the end of the year, there is an annual audit performed by an independent auditing firm.

The audit is conducted in accordance with auditing standards generally accepted in the United States of America and the standards for financial audits contained in Government Auditing Standards, issued by the Comptroller General of the United States.
